Went to Bed & Woke Up With An Extra $1,200 In His Bank Account. WHAT???

He never planned on doing it, but when Jimmy woke up one day with an extra $1,200 in his bank account he knew he had a good product idea!

Some of the best product ideas are the ones you never planned on creating a business out of. Like Jimmy Compton, from Fort Worth, Texas, who found this out "the good way!"

Transitioning out of the military back into civilian life can be a confusing and scary war all of it's own, often leaving military families broken apart and finances non-existent. After leaving the Army, Jimmy found himself in a very similar position, with little capital on-hand and almost no savings in the bank.

Without seeing too many viable options to make a better life for himself after reentering the civilian world, he took a job as a contractor and soon found himself headed back overseas to the Middle East again to make some more money for his family, which includes his wife and 2 small children.

After returning from his overseas contracting assignment, he was able to finally leave the military life behind him for good.

BUT...

What Jimmy DIDN'T expect was to wake up one morning to over $1,200 in sales (after posting a picture on Instagram one night and going to bed) of a wallet he personally hand-crafted for himself.

Jimmy quickly discovered he wasn't the only fan of his own handiwork, but that a LOT of other people wanted one too, and were willing to pay top dollar for it!

WATCH THE VIDEO HERE to listen to Jimmy explain how exactly he was able to not only turn a simple hobby into a VERY profitable side business, but also make his transition out of the military considerably easier.

@vegforlife You can't lose with cupcakes. And anything homemade is usually better.

Call me a dork, but I am a fan of homemade "ugly Christmas sweaters."

Such a cool story. I know I enjoy homemade, exquisite cupcakes. Different from wallets, no doubt, but they're fun to look at and even more fun to eat.

@Kyle1775 I agree, I think following the unknown path is one of the greater challenges new business owners face. Fear of the unknown is very real for most people. What do you think is one of the biggest obstacles that hold back new business owners?
