Kevin Sabet is relying upon a study that has been debunked so many times it defies logic than he still clings to it like a life preserver vest. Yet another study is out that debunks this marijuana myth. Per Leaf Science:
The study, published July 9 in the journal Schizophrenia Bulletin, followed 110 individuals with a schizophrenia diagnosis over an 18 month period to determine whether cannabis use had an effect on their illness.
“There was no evidence of a specific association between cannabis use and positive symptoms, or negative symptoms, relapse or hospital admissions,” wrote Christine Barrowclough, PhD, a professor of clinical psychology at the University of Manchester and the study’s lead author.
I wonder how many of these studies has to be conducted and the results released before Kevin Sabet and other opponents accept the fact that science is not on their side? Will these opponents ever give up? Marijuana use does not cause schizophrenia, nor does it worsen it. Does that mean that there aren’t people out there that suffer from schizophrenia and consume marijuana? Of course not. But there are no doubt people that suffer from schizophrenia that also eat tacos, does this mean that tacos cause schizophrenia? Of course not.
