Tear It Up: Rampage Jackson’s Reebok ATV 19+ Event Recap

On Tuesday, January 22, Reebok and Rampage Jackson held a launch event for the ATV 19+ in Chicago.

A select group of media outlets got a chance to get up close and personal with the Quinton “Rampage” Jackson endorsed Reebok ATV 19+. TSG and a few other outlets were granted access to watch Rampage train for his big UFC fight this Saturday, January 26, against Glover Teixeira. After watching Jackson train, we were allowed a chance to test out the ATV 19+ by training with Rampage and his trainers.

Reebok’s Head of Advanced Innovation, Bill Mclnnis, was also in attendance at the event. He spoke with the media about the design and inspiration of the shoe. Mclnnis explained that the shoe is basically an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) for your feet. Being able to withstand grass, snow, mud, rocks, dirt, pavement, or whatever type of surface, proves the Reebok ATV 19+ can handle any terrain. The cushioned outriggers and 19 irregular lugs makes it all possible. To simplify in the words of Reebok, it’s technology you can feel.

Additional info:

“Reebok is taking a completely unique approach to designing a shoe for all surfaces by reimagining the scale of traction lugs.” said Reebok’s Head of Advanced Innovation, Bill McInnis. “The oversized lugs on the sole of the shoe give the runner unparalleled ability to power through any terrain.”
Inspired by the tire geometry of All-Terrain Vehicles, ATV 19+ features nineteen irregular lugs designed to rip mud, snow, sand, and grass out of the way. ATV19+ technology works to grab the most terrain possible with each step, for optimal running on all surfaces. In addition, ATV 19+ features rugged synthetic toe and heel overlays for durability and abrasion resistance, a padded tongue and collar for supportive comfort and fit for all-terrain challenges, and a full-height silhouette for all-terrain agility, traction and maximum ground contact on varied surfaces.

The Reebok ATV 19+ will be available in stores February 1, 2013. Retail is $140.
