This Sure Looks Like a Felony to Me

A city solicitor, in open court, offered to reduce fines if defendants registered to vote.

LaDawn Blackett Jones is the city solicitor for South Fulton, GA, a new city in the southern part of Fulton County, which also contains Atlanta. In a courtroom, Jones offered defendants $50.00 off citations if they registered to vote or showed proof they are registered to vote.

She even bragged about it on social media.

It is a felony under federal and Georgia law to offer anyone anything of value to register to vote. But this city solicitor is offering reductions of fines in court. That is something of value.

Of course, she is a Democrat supporting Stacey Abrams, the Democrat running for Governor in Georgia, so I won't hold my breath on anything happening. But it certainly seems like this is something the federal Department of Justice should look into.

Follow this through. Throw the book at her. Make her an example. Call the governor. Call the FBI. Call whoever you have to call.

Corrupt and immoral! Won't take it! Wouldn't be prudent at this juncture! A call to the ballot box conservatives!!!

Demoncrats are as corrupt as the day is long. And it's this kind of In Your Face abuse of the law that is firing up the Republican base, as our only recourse to take matters into our own hands, to get out and vote and make sure these liberals do not continue this kind of abuse to our system.
