Glenn Beck and His Wife Ensure A Lot of People Have a Happy, Merry Christmas

He set an example for the rest of us.

This is a great story and Glenn Beck deserves a lot of praise for it. He and his wife went to a local Walmart in Dallas, TX, and paid off everything on layaway for the people who had their stuff there.

A Walmart spokeswoman said Beck paid about $27,000 in total at the location on North Tarrant Parkway in North Richland Hills. Beck said on his radio program Monday that the individual accounts had balances that ranged from $24 to $500.

That is a remarkably kind thing to do. I wish I was in a position to do something similar. We also hope to do at least something kind for others this Christmas season.

Thanks Glenn for setting a good example.

This is why there should be poor people, so that rich Christians can go to heaven.

Tyler Perry did the same thing here in Atlanta. This is what we should all do whenever we can. Make someone's day better by helping them with whatever you can! Merry Christmas!

Kid Rock just did the same thing. And the left treats these folks like pariahs.

This made me smile, remembering when we were poor and putting all the kids' toys and clothes on (Kmart) layaway. My mom, through her city's old "Secret Santa" program, once bought a family in the projects the children's whole Christmas wish lists. That's the stuff that makes the season "Merry and Bright"! Love to Glenn & Tania.

That certainly was very kind of them. Well done, Mr. and Mrs. Beck!
