Susan Collins, the Republican Senator from Maine, has long been a source of consternation for conservatives. Proud of her reputation as a middle-of-the-roader, she has made a habit of decrying what she sees as the more “extreme” elements of the GOP—in other words, those who actually want to roll back the left-wing agenda—and has thwarted everything from defunding Obamacare to defunding Planned Parenthood. So it only stands to reason that if any Republican might jump ship in voting to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, Collins is Prospect Numero Uno—which should make her the target of a charm offensive from the Left like nobody has ever seen, right?
Um, not exactly:
Instead of courting Collins with sweet, sweet talk of moderation and unity, the agitator class has decided to go with rape fantasies and forced pregnancy. So much for taking the high road. In fact, this particular road is so low that if these Brown Shirts masquerading as activists got lost on their way to the next protest, they’d have to pull over and ask Beelzebub for directions.
But what else do you expect from the Modem Left? It’s amazing how a group of people who claim to be so passionate about women’s rights think nothing of using the terror of rape to threaten their opponents. I’ve often thought that inside the heart of a hardened leftist is a little totalitarian struggling to get out—but it seems there’s a latent misogynist as well, who feels safe and secure in venting all his rage against women in general, so long the object of his anger is a conservative or a Republican.
This isn’t activism. This is just garden-variety fascism.
No, it’s more pathetic than even that—it’s wannabe fascism.
And it should be dealt with, as America has dealt with fascism before: by kicking it squarely in the ass. Here’s hoping that Senator Collins hangs tough and acts accordingly.
