Rudy Giuliani Announces End Date for Mueller Obstruction Probe

In an interview published Sunday, the former mayor seemed confident that a date has been set by Robert Mueller.

This week’s episode of The Rudy Giuliani Show is going to be awesome!

In a report from earlier Sunday, President Trump’s loquacious lawyer claims that his conversations with special counsel Robert Mueller have yielded a projected completion date for the obstruction portion of the Russia probe.

In the Washington Post interview, Giuliani says that Mueller agreed to wrapping things up, once Trump sits down for that long anticipated face-to-face.

According to the Times, Giuliani’s comments appeared to be a way for him to publicly pressure Mueller as the two sides negotiate a potential interview. Giuliani expressed concern over the probe influencing the outcome of the midterm elections.

Giuliani urged Mueller to wrap up the investigation quickly, noting how former FBI Director James Comey’s decision to reopen an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server close to Election Day was blamed by Democrats for influencing the election, according to the newspaper.

“You don’t want another repeat of the 2016 election where you get contrary reports at the end and you don’t know how it affected the election,” Giuliani said.

No, which is why this thing needs to be carried out correctly and thoroughly the first time.

While investigating possible obstruction, Mueller’s team are considering Comey’s claim that Trump asked him to end the investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn, and the subsequent firing of Comey.

“We want the concentration of this to be on Comey versus the president’s credibility, and I think we win that and people get that,” Giuliani told the Times.

The president’s credibility?

Too easy.

Giuliani went on to say they’d like the results of the investigation to be made public.

Giuliani also wants an investigation into Comey for perjury and for his role in leaking information about his meetings with Trump that led to Mueller’s appointment, the Times reported.

He went on to stress that nothing will happen until after Trump’s planned meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, so obviously, they still feel that’s a thing that’s going to happen, even as Kim has balked in recent days.

Giuliani further predicts that Trump and Mueller will meet sometime around Independence Day.

Does anybody seriously believe that Trump subjecting himself to Mueller's interrogation isn't going to extend this investigation indefinitely? As in, "excrement, meet fan"?

i don't see how he ever sits down with him. The guy can't go 2 sentences without lying.

If September 1 passes without the investigation being wrapped up, I'm sure Trump will handle it with his usual level of calm and dignity.

So this is the 35th date that a Lawyer for Trump has stated. That has been so very effective before. I do note that he didn't state what year, and the average presidential Special Council lasts 6 years and some months. Since 1970, it was 7-7-7-4 and 1+ as of now, so yeah, September 1st, 2022.

Then, the paranoia, sideway glances, and tin-foil, responses Will show him to be, astute, smarterer, and goodier than all of the press, bigly!
