Our writer Gabriella Hoffman appeared on "Stinchfield" on NRATV last Friday to discuss why NRA doesn't harm hunting.

The world already uses abortion and euthanasia to eliminate humans. Also don't forget about war. Been that way for a long time and the cries fall on deaf ears! Earth also has a way of eliminating humanity thru floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, and illness! Man hunted for food long ago so if there are hunters who still want to hunt for food and clothing, go right ahead. And if I am nature walking and a bear comes up on me, if no hunter is around then you think that bear is going to let me go? I love animals but they aren't all innocent creatures. They are wild! A herd of deer trying to escape a puma on the hunt isn't going to stop their stampede over you! Take pics all you want I enjoy that too but if a hunter can help keep me and the wild safe, then there's a place for both the hunter and the site seer!

There is no right to kill the public's wildlife, especially on public lands, but generally as well. Wildlife is to be held in the public trust, not carved out, even at supposed wildlife refuges, by the assassins and placed on private killing fields for a decreasing number of people. It is a destructive practice that indiscriminately kills helpless wildlife and disrupts the natural ebb and flow of the inter-species hierarchy. Some say they kill for food, but this is really a diversion from the need of these people to aggrandize their fragile egos. Apparently they have little else of a constructive nature going on in their lives when they are not earning a living. Killing wildlife is NOT conservation. . .a lie frequently offered up to rationalize this heinous activity. Another absurdity spouted by the interviewed woman hunters contribute tons of money. Most of the funding comes from non-hunters through the purchase of weapons and ammunition, not the hunting and trapping community. These destructive people pay nothing as a severance fee for permanently killing wildlife and depriving the rest of us of their presence and benefits. It is actually the wildlife watchers, not killers, that contribute far more economic activity, per a periodic study recently updated by the U.S. Department of Interior. Finally, hunters are not bona fide conservationists, but they have inappropriately co-opted and destroyed the true meaning of the word 'conservation.' If people were killed in the same manner, there would be a hue and cry around the world.
