He will be taking his wife, Amal Clooney, and two young children to the Los Angeles area where the famous actor owns a mansion in Studio City, California.
According to sources from Life and Style Magazine, the Hollywood star isn’t taking any chances after the birth of his children. “He doesn’t feel like Amal and the twins are safe living in the English countryside,” one source stated. “He’s determined to move his family to LA, where he feels much more secure.”
Upon learning that he’d be a father, Clooney promptly conducted a thorough study to determine which property (out of many) he owns would be the safest to live in. “As soon as Amal found out she was pregnant, he hired former Secret Service agents to assess all his properties and make recommendations for improvement,” an anonymous Clooney insider stated to the magazine. “His mansion in Studio City [Calif.] was deemed the most secure, and it’s within minutes of an LAPD station.”
So that’s that. Clooney’s packing up his things at his luxurious 17th century mansion in Sonning, England and moving. Like any good father, he is simply wanting to keep his family as safe as possible. Given recent events in England, I certainly don’t blame him.
Twenty-two people were killed and over 200 injured in May after a terrorist attack at an Ariana Grande concert – a Muslim suicide bomber detonated himself as concert goers were filing out of the stadium. Just one month later, three terrorists used a van to plow through pedestrians walking on the London Bridge. They then went on a stabbing rampage at a nearby restaurant. The Muslim extremists were able to kill eight people and injure 48 others before police were finally able to shoot them down.
In a shocking study, government officials estimated that there are around 23,000 jihadi terrorists residing in the United Kingdom.
Numerous terrorists attacks have taken place across the European Union in recent time. Nevertheless, member countries are expected to accept loads of refugees without proper vetting procedures.
While I applaud Clooney for using every resource he has available to protect his family, I also fault him for being the biggest hypocrite to walk the planet. The Hollywood liberal is a pro-refugee, open borders advocate who has gone above and beyond in preaching a type of politics he clearly doesn’t practice.
Take, for example, February of last year. Clooney visited with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and lavished praise on her for her government’s acceptance of Syrian refugees. Germany has taken in over one million refugees from war torn countries and a spike in terror-related attacks have shown for it. Around the time of his Merkel visit, Clooney told Sky News that the American government wasn’t doing enough for refugees, and that accepting 10,000 of them a year was “not enough.”
Both Amal and George have been strident critics of President Trump’s immigration policies. In an April 2016 interview with the BBC, Amal said Trump’s plan for a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico goes against American values. During a March 2016 interview with The Guardian, George called then-candidate Trump a “xenophobic fascist” and an “opportunist.” He also said his immigration policies were “idiotic” and “intolerant.”
George Clooney represents everything wrong with the liberal elite. He pats himself on the back by publicly calling Trump a racist for advocating policies meant to protect the common man. But when the safety of his own family is called into question, Clooney gladly retreats them to the safety of his million-dollar mansion.
I’m sure it comes as a surprise to no one that his home in Studio City, California is protected by a nice, big wall.
Britain is a mess. Terrorist attacks have mushroomed in a country where thousands of Islamic extremists are believed to be living in. However, the everyday Londoner can’t simply re-locate to a million-dollar estate halfway around the world to escape danger. The exact same can be said for the common man living in America. Trump is promoting legislation that would keep radicals from entering our country, but people like Clooney, high and mighty as they believe they are, shout “racist” for it.
Those screams of racism, however, take place behind huge walls. Walls patrolled by guards that carry big guns.
