With so much fanfare surrounding the 4-page Nunes FISA memo, and now the potential 10-page Schiff rebuttal memo that no one has seen, I thought we could all benefit from a brief reprieve by focusing on another topic that deserves our attention.
Sure, the memo is a hot topic, and if its contents are as salacious as the reporting claims, a major shake-up may be in the wings. Unfortunately, it all seems to be more about political posturing. Otherwise, action should be in the works to convene the necessary legal proceedings that will produce indictments and convictions.
President Trump’s executive orders are not about religious discrimination, as many have tried to claim. They’re about proper vetting of potentially dangerous people for the safety of U.S. citizens. Please, read them yourself before you judge otherwise.
The mainstream media and Muslim evangelists the world over would like you to believe the ‘Islam is a religion of peace’ rhetoric, but they are either willfully ignorant or intentionally trying to deceive you as they regularly conceal or diminish the ideological motivation of many terrorists.
No, the president’s executive orders are not about religious discrimination.
They’re about a Muslim shouting “Allahu Akbar!” as he plowed his 25-ton truck through a crowd of pedestrians in Nice, France, killing ten. They’re about coordinated terror attacks in Paris, killing at least 128. They’re about multiple terror attacks in Germany, killing 22 and injuring dozens more. And, it’s not just Europe. The Muslim threat is migrating around the world.
The need for the president’s executive orders is manifest here, too, by a Somali Muslim stabbing eight people in Minnesota, a Muslim couple that killed 14 and wounded 22 in San Bernardino, CA, and two Muslim brothers from Kyrgyzstan who detonated bombs at the Boston Marathon, killing three and wounding more than 260.
Remember, as a resident of New York City on 9-11-01, President Trump witnessed the impact and aftermath of terror first hand. He’s not simply spewing politicized talking points. He lived it. Now, it’s his job to make sure it never happens again. That is a grave responsibility.
In response to President Trump’s “Muslim ban” (EO 13769), over 90 faith leaders, representing Muslims, Christians, and Jews, gathered in Seattle from January 28-30 to sign the “Faith Over Fear” pledge (below), according to Seattle-based International Examiner.
“We pledge to and call upon our fellow citizens to treat our Muslim neighbors with fairness, dignity, and respect, and to uphold, through word and deed, a commitment to the American ideals of pluralism and religious freedom and against any religious ban. We will advocate for legislation, media portrayals, and political speech that promotes these basic American values and commitments for American Muslims.
As a leader in my community:
- I pledge to reject exclusionary policies that discriminate on the basis of religion, race, culture, or country of origin.
- I will nurture relationships, build communities, confront challenges, and advocate for legislation, media portrayals, and political speech based on our shared American values of fairness, dignity, and respect for all people.
- I commit to examining and addressing myself and my community for language and practices that exclude, demean, or diminish Muslims.
- I commit to dismantling anti-Muslim bigotry by educating myself and using my platforms to educate my community, on how to address and counter common misperceptions and myths about Islam and Muslims.
- I will include my community in relationship-building, education, and actions that affirm the inherent dignity of every member of our society.”
Today, CAIR is gathering with over 100 religious leaders representing the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faiths for a solidarity rally in MN, “collaborating on a shared fight against Islamophobia in the state.”
It’s not hypocritical for a person who pleads for civility and honorable conduct from people who profess to be Christians to also confront evil directly when necessary.
Make no mistake, Islam is evil, but the battle true followers of Jesus must wage is spiritual, not physical. It’s not about individual Muslims, it’s about the Satanic inspiration behind Islam. It’s about the spiritual powers of this dark age.
The entire Islamic faith is a sham. Muhammad (wittingly or unwittingly) hijacked the Jewish and Christian scriptures to lend Islam credibility (historically) and then spread his distorted reconfiguration at the edge of the sword. The violence we witness today is no different than the violence Muslims have used to conquer nations and subject their citizens to Islamic Sharia Law since its inception.
Leaders claiming to represent the Christian community by promoting unity with Muslims based on a shared American vision are deceived. Although they may be well-meaning, they certainly don’t understand Muslim history.
True Muslims have no desire to honor religious pluralism long-term. Again, their religion is one of conquest and subjection. They aren’t powerful enough to conquer the United States, so they may acquiesce to the majority out of necessity, occasionally playing the victim card even when they’re the perpetrators of violence, but that will change as it did in Medina when the opportunity presents itself.
Muhammad and his followers were the minority among a predominantly Jewish community after they migrated from Mecca to Medina, but he eventually entered into a pact with the Jewish leaders to become their community leader, effectively placing their Jewish counterparts under compulsory service to the whims of the new leadership.
If they can’t gain the upper hand by force, they will do it by forging alliances. That’s what they’ve been doing for centuries.
Unfortunately, the political embrace the NATIONAL WEEK OF ACTION events represent has also been duplicated by scores of “Christian” leaders embracing Islam religiously, which is anathema to the faith they proclaim. There is no way they can be true followers of Jesus Christ and embrace Muslims as fellow sojourners in the journey of faith. We’re not on the same path.
Muslims do not believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. That directly contradicts the Bible, specifically the book of Hebrews. Instead, they teach He will return to “break the cross” and confirm the preeminence of Muhammad and Allah. Nope!
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6 ESV)
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit... Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned." (John 15:1-6 ESV)
Notice from the scripture above that there were some who were once part of the vine who did not bear fruit and were taken away, while others simply “fell off” by not abiding. Then, like branches, they were thrown into the fire.
To embrace the teachings of Islam is to reject Jesus, yet that is exactly what is happening in fulfillment of scripture. Many who were once followers of Jesus – part of the vine – are falling away, following false teachings and embracing false religions.
Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? (2 Thessalonians 2:1-5 ESV)
See, Paul warned us this would happen!
True followers of Jesus Christ need to present the truth of the His life, death, resurrection, and teachings to individuals with love, humility, and respect, but to the religious and political leaders who want us to embrace Islam we need to be bold.
A time is coming when we will be forced to choose who we will serve. We need to be resolute about our convictions. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!
