Jon Del Arroz’s Crowdfunding of ‘Flying Sparks’ off to a Soaring Start

Author’s campaign for his comic book about a superheroine and villain in love nears its primary goal.

Just a few days ago author Jon Del Arroz launched an Indiegogo campaign for Flying Sparks, his comic book story about a superheroine and villain who are in love. It’s already nearing its primary goal of $6,000. But it also has some stretch goals. So if this new comic book interests you, there’s still time to contribute towards it.

The Loftus Party profiled Del Arroz back in January. He’s been pretty busy since then, having published at least one other book (Knight Training) and now crowdfunding Flying Sparks.

Del Arroz summarizes what the story is about on his Indiegogo page.

Chloe Anderson is a physics student by day, a hard working, smart girl who’s close with her mad scientist professor, working with him as a teacher’s assistant. She has access to several of his inventions, and in order to help test them, she moonlights as the superhero, Meta-Girl.

Johnny Benvinutti comes from a well-established Italian crime family, and recently found he has the ability to shoot lightning from his hands. His descent into deeper crime only creates the need to cover more up as he runs his operation out of a coffee shop front business.

When the two of them meet, sparks fly on multiple levels. But will they be able to maintain their relationship while keeping secret lives from each other?

Flying Sparks has reached over 80% of its $6,000 primary goal as of the time of this post. So it looks like it’s going to hit that with ease. But it has $10,000, $15,000, and $20,000 stretch goals. Check out the Indiegogo page to see what those goals are for, and for all sorts of other information about the project.

If Flying Sparks looks like something you want to read, now’s your chance to help Del Arroz make it a reality.
