President Donald Trump pitched his New Jersey golf course while addressing South Korea's National Assembly according to NPR.
President Trump's speech at South Korea's National Assembly was meant to be a show of solidarity among the United States, South Korea and other Asian nations in the face of North Korea's nuclear ambitions. Trump started by praising South Korea for its many achievements since the end of the Korean War in the 1950s, touching on technology, music, education and engineering. Then, he arrived at golf.
Trump praises Korean golfers as some of the best of Earth.
"Korean golfers are some of the best on Earth," Trump said. "In fact, and you know what I'm going to say, the Women's U.S. Open was held this year at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., and it just happened to be won by a great Korean golfer." "Congratulations. Now that's something. That's really something," Trump said to the applauding audience of foreign dignitaries.
