Trump ICE Director Claims He’s ‘Enjoying’ Tearing Families Apart

Thomas Homan said heading ICE wasn't a job he wanted, but he has found himself enjoying it.

On the heels of two particularly cruel deportations, ripping apart the families of undocumented immigrants who had been living in the U.S. for decades, acting ICE Director Thomas Homan told conference goers Wednesday that he is beginning to "enjoy" his new role within the Trump administration.

"This isn't a job I particularly wanted in the beginning," Homan said at a so-called "Border Security Expo" in San Antonio, Texas. "But I'll tell you what, I'm enjoying it."

This is hardly the first time Homan has openly relished in his ability to instill fear in immigrant communities. At a hearing on Capitol Hill last June, Homan said undocumented immigrants "should be uncomfortable" and constantly "looking over their shoulder[s]."
