Science doesn’t have to be intimidating. Dan Broadbent, founder and publisher of A Science Enthusiast, strives to make it easy to understand and engaging.
A former public school teacher and now a self-described “social worker by day and amateur science communicator at night,” Broadbent believes science becomes less scary to those who make an attempt to understand it. He aims to increase science literacy and promote critical thinking through discussions relating to current events. His frequent posts cover a wide variety of topics, from space exploration and climate change to genetically modified organisms.
Broadbent launched A Science Enthusiast on Facebook in December 2014 and its popularity has skyrocketed with nearly 900,000 followers.
