#FamiliesBelongTogether Day of Action

People in over 60 cities across the country marched to protest Trump's 'zero-tolerance' policy terrorizing families.

Since Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) tried to access a detention center for immigrant youth detained at the border, we've gotten even more grim details about their conditions. Cages. Prison rules. Truly horrific and inhumane.

We also learned about a breastfeeding infant torn from its mother's arms at a federal detention center.

Families Belong Together, a newly-formed coalition of national and local organizations led by the National Domestic Workers Alliance, Moms Rising, United We Dream, We Belong Together, MoveOn.org and the ACLU, called for a national day of action to demand an immediate end to Trump's new policy to separate children from their parents and families at US borders.

Over the last 24 hours, legislators and supporters took to the streets against this cruel, ruthless and barbaric tactic.

Senators are feverishly working to gain support for the Families Belong Together Act to bring an end to the family separation policy.
