The United Kingdom is going down a dark path of censorship, one that shows no signs of slowing any time soon. Some are not all on board with it, like Actress Nanette Newman. She found the ban to be rather over the top:
"I find this ban ridiculously over the top. What a bizarre world we live in where the adverts I starred in might today be considered harmful, yet it’s considered perfectly acceptable for women to be shown on mainstream TV having sex."
Such censorship is irreconcilable with a free society. As Alexis de Tocqueville stated in Democracy in America, "In countries where the doctrine of the sovereignty of the people ostensibly prevails, the censorship of the press is not only dangerous, but absurd."
They'll find this does nothing to make them happier as a society (or better off, for that matter).
