E-Books Just Won't Cut It; Young Readers Need to Read REAL Books
I, for one, hate electronic reading. Can't stand it. I just can't absorb the material the way I can with a hard copy book. I thought it was just me, that I'm being a curmudgeon, but maybe it's actually something that is a legitimate issue.
One young reader found that when she got a Kindle she could not concentrate as well as she had with regular hardy copy books. It was just too distracting, too many things to do on the device.
Especially for younger readers, it may be better to just have them read hard copies. Kids are on technology all the time, and they're more anxious and depressed than ever; I don't see that as a coincidence.
There's something to the old ways sometimes...
