OxyContin Maker Announces Big Reversal In Response to Opioid Epidemic

Purdue, the maker of OxyContin, announced they will not be actively pitching their opioid products to doctor's offices going forward. Innumerable lawsuits have been filed against them and other companies for advocating what many believe to be "over-prescription." They will still sell their product, but not market it as aggressively.

I'd say that's probably a good idea; that, along with more doctor's offices being more hesitant to prescribe opioids. The epidemic will require a lot of changes, this could be a good step towards ameliorating the crisis.
