Los Angeles Employees Get Paid for Not Working, But Also Figured Out How To Double It

Talk about systemic abuse of a government employment program. Los Angeles set up an extremely generous medical leave program (along with regular pension benefits), and the city's employees have gone an abused that system to astounding levels. For small aches and pains, they are taking medical leave, and for things not even job-related.

Such abuse wastes taxpayers' money, but also contributes to non-productivity. One should not be taking in copious amounts of money if they are not working. Legitimate on the job injuries are one thing, this is something else entirely.
