I find this especially barbaric. Not only was Monopoly first designed to show that ownership is "bad" because people shouldn't be allowed to collect on the value of their property (apparently only rich landlords owned property in 1902) but now we're supposed to assume that the only way to attain property is to lie and cheat your way to it. What kind of messaging is this? I'm so discouraged by the failure to properly motivate people to aspire to be their best selves.

I'm still not entirely sure what to think about this. It's like a game is encouraging cheating, and a game that's supposed to be a reflection of a market economy. Maybe that's a message we should avoid condoning.
