Will North Korea Affect Your Retirement Dollars? Take Our Risk Survey and Find Out!

Wall Street is working overtime to make sure you feel comfortable with the stock market. Wall Street is convinced that this is just saber rattling between two very strong personalities - a President and a Dictator. I would argue that this situation is one we have not seen in a while. We actually have a President that will not hesitate to start a war. What are the odds of Kim Jong Un firing a missile at the island of Guam? What are the possibilities of a miscalculation and the missile landing very uncomfortably close? The bigger question is that Kim Jong Un knows that President Trump will act if North Korea crosses the line. Doesn't it concern him that the United States could wipe North Korea off of the map without putting one set of boots on the ground? It makes you wonder. What is going to happen that we are not expecting as we watch the Island of Guam? How bold of a dictator is he that he actually thinks he can go toe to toe with the greatest military in the world? Yes, this is a risk regardless of what Wall Street says.

Regardless of what is going on with North Korea we live in an environment where a great deal of risk exists. As investors, we walk through a political land mind every day wondering when one is going to detonate. There is also the challenge of knowing what is going to rattle Wall Street and what will Wall Street chose to ignore? That is just the wonderful world of investing and what we have to deal with as we try to grow money. The bottom line is that you need to be comfortable with the amount of risk you are taking.
