My wife's wallet was stolen this week with TX drivers license, social security card, medicare card and credit card lost. No problem on the credit card, but what should we do about loss of her social security number and drivers license? Worried about identity theft, of course.

@suzanneandjohn Sorry to hear that happened. I would initiate a credit freeze on all three credit reporting agencies. This locks up your credit file and only you can unlock it. This article explains the process - https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0497-credit-freeze-faqs - Then I would go to www.truecredit.com and sign up for credit monitoring. I would monitor credit files for any unusual activity. The credit freeze should fix it. However, it is good to have this extra layer of protection. Also check the credit files and make sure that nothing has been opened over the weekend. Let me know if you have any questions.
