Update: After further research, this incident actually took place in July 2008. It is now resurfacing in the news because the cops just pleaded not guilty. They will go on trial next year.

Three British police officers in Manchester wrongly detained a man they thought was harassing paramedics, tackling him where one of the cops repeatedly punched him eight times before grabbing the back of his head and scraping his face against the street.

Then they charged Mark Aspinall, who is a lance corporal in the British army, with assault on police. Those charges have since been dropped.

Now the cops are under investigation for the incident that took place in July. The video speaks for itself. It doesn’t take much of an “investigation.”
