Tesla Model 3. Are They Skimping on Quality?

Tesla Model 3 Teardown By Engineering Firm Reveals Quality Flaws Like 'A Kia In The '90s'

Tesla Model 3. Are They Skimping on Quality?

Tesla is banking big on their new "low" cost model 3. BUT, is the quality build lacking from its rush into production. Has Tesla laid a giant egg?

Building cheaply made cars is nothing new in a capitalist society so I'm not surprised. Although this one line from the end of that article strikes me as suspicious "It’s worth noting that a representative for the company told me over the phone that Munro’s biggest automaker clients are the “Big Three.”
So I definitely sense a conflict of interest here.

Sure, ya can't trust anyone these days. But I have found the tesla guys to be big snobs themselves when I had personal dealings with them. They didn't impress me as even good businessmen when I talked and e mailed them

Consumer Reports just got in their very own Tesla Model 3 with a 75 kWh battery. Their's was $59,000, not $35,000 because in order to get a first production Model 3, you have to configure the car a certain way. E.g., you have to get the 75 kWh battery, premium package, "fully self driving" autopilot (the full self driving capability is an over the air update that will come in the future), and any color other than black ($1,000). The total for all the options was $23,000 and they still didn't get all-wheel drive, which they wanted. But unfortunately, they would have to wait further back in line if they wanted AWD.

yea, shows what a load of crap tesla is pullling, almos double the price they "claimed"

Well, realize that the car that Consumer Reports bought is a first production car. Therefore, they had to get the 75 kWh battery, premium package, full self driving software (over the air update), color other than black, and real leather. The first production models don't even have AWD and still have $13-25K in options. CR cot $23K in options, including the $9K 75 kWh battery. The other battery option is 50 kWh.
