Hey scotty!! I have a very reliable 2005 honda accord with 220,000 miles. Recently in a fender accident, took out the front left corner but damage didn't get to the main hood. Rough estimates is $2000 and they think its worth $5600($1000 more than the best kept car ever from kelly blue, I think its really $3500). I don't believe its repairs are $2000. I am taking it into a proper mechanic/body repair to get whats actual instead of just eyeing the repairs. Do you think a car that old should be fix for that amount (or up to $3000) or do you think hidden complications will arise in the future? Insurance company will pay for damages. I don't want a unreliable car or potentially pay future repairs. I would just rather take the cash for it then. Thanks!!
