Hey Scotty, I have a 2001 BMW X5. I haven't had any problems with it and I've had it over a year all the sudden the other day I was driving on the freeway going about 80 and my check engine light turned on, my car started vibrating like crazy and my speed slowed down by itself even though my foot was on the gas.when I pulled off the road and parked my car it started vibrating even harder so I turned it off.I got my car towed home and the next day it was towed to the mechanic and he told me he couldnt find anything wrong with it, he did the diagnostic on it and said he couldn't find anything on it besides that it had some misfires a long time ago. What do you think could be wrong with the car? And is it safe to still drive?

you were lucky having it a year without trouble. Those are endless GIANT DEEP money pit machines. Hope you didn't pay much, cause they are worth little when that old. The ONLY guy who can diagnose your problem is a guy like me with a BMW dealer scan tool to analyze deeply into the vehicle. SO, if it runs fine now, be smart, unload it as fast as you can. Like a customer of mine did last week with hers when I told her she needed a 1300 dollar electric water pump replacement.
