Hey Scotty I got a van running after it was flooded in hurricanes Harvey. Thing is it only runs if I keep it throttled and after words I checked the oil( just changed it before I started it) and it filled back up with water. Is there something I'm missing? I drained it all and pumped the cylinders

blown head gasket probably. Have that tested. Any pressure tester can be used to see if water is being forced into engine crank

It's not blown. I just checked. Could it be from just the nooks and crannies around the block after it got flooded? And I was going to drop the catalytic converter and set it up to drain and dry because I believethe water is in it causing it to not stay started
