Hello Sir!

I picked up a 1986 Toyota Celica GT in great shape, cheap! It has only two problems, and when they're fixed it will be both a great commuter car and a car to take to the beach (the electric sunroof still works great).

  1. The heater puts out heat at first, but seems to stop once the engine is at full operating temperature. Then I get just cold air. Sometimes it will start heating again 30 minutes later. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?
  1. The factory cruise control won't work unless I'm going 65 or faster. Any ideas why that might be?

flush the heater core out and make sure no air is in the system when done. Live with the cruise control, no one fixes those. BUT do check for vacuum leaks on that system, a small leak can do just that

Thank you very much!
