I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander LS Base Model 2.4L SOHC non-MIVEC. The suv starts and drives perfect and only under WOT does the vehicle (engine) SPUTTERS and BOGS that looses power. It doesn't turn off, but sputters and it seems like the engine is going to turn off. Reading online and it seems many 03-06 Mitsubishi Lancers also suffer from this condition. I've already changed the coils, spark plugs, wires, and oxygen sensors to Denso oem. The previous owner did clear-out the catalytic converter for which I'm getting a code for catalytic below efficiency, but will this really cause the engine to sputter and bog?
Have you had any experience with Mitsubishi's with this problem.
