Hey Scotty. I just replaced a lower ball joint on my 02 Rav4 but when torquing the new castle nut to the required torque setting the nut was getting tighter and tighter but never got to the torque 'click' setting. I eventually stopped and just installed the cutter pin. I am nut sure what the current torque is but I didn't want to go any farther with it as the cutter pin got way above the castle nut groves telling me that it may be installed lower than it was supposed to. Am I in trouble? Would this cutter pin protect the nut from slipping out just in case I will look at it from time to time to see if there is any movement at the treads. What would you suggest I do? Thanks

that's fine, I've done that many times and it always worked fine

Thank you!!
