Republicans Accused of Altering Bombshell Memo: Shut Up and Release It

This secret memo charade is getting old. Just release the damn memo. If it was altered, let's see who did it.

According to the the New York Post Adam Schiff (D) accuses Nunes(R) of ‘secretly altered’ potentially bombshell memo.

The ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee late Wednesday accused his Republican counterpart of pulling a bait-and-switch and sending a “secretly altered” version of a controversial GOP memo the White House.

ZeroHedge reports Nunes Hits Back Against FBI FISA Memo Freakout.

Is someone parading around a fake classified document?

Is this some sort of trap? On which party?

There are more questions than answers here. I have a simple suggestion.

Release the damn memo, and if there is more than one competing version, release them all, and all of the supporting documentation as well.

The alterations were typos, FBI requested change and Democrat disputed item. Schiff is watching his career crash and burn as he went to court to try to keep it secret - the man is a putz. Even if the memo is garbage it sure put Schiff’s incompetence in full view.

This Nunes memo thing is asinine. He was previously caught colluding with the White House. He was brought up on ethics charges. He investigated the FBI in private despite being recused from his committee. More to the point this is an active investigation. The whole thing is an attempt at obstruction. When a lower court hears a case, a higher court does not investigate or review the lower court. If there is an appeal or review process it is done after the fact. Clearly the FBI and the DOJ will be limited in what they can say on an ongoing investigation so what Nunes puts out basically goes unchallenged.

@Mish . I see you reference zerohedge a lot. Are they really a credible news site?

unless the underlying documents are released. americans should be very suspicious of what is occurring. a memo showing someone's slant on evidence, is not evidence

Release the memo. Those that are accused cannot lead the investigation.

Asinine? using FISA to surveil a political candidate. Asinine? the actions of Strzok and Page. Asinine? the actions of FBI director McCabe. Asinine? the squashing of classified emails found on Weiner's laptop. Asinine? 12 months and five separate investigations and nothing has meaningful has surfaced. Let's get it out and over with already.
