At the Commonwealth Women's Forum held in London this week activists are advocating for empowerment and equality

The Commonwealth Women's Forum is held in London until Wednesday 18 May.

UK activists engaged in the end of violence against women and girls #endVAWG campaign as well as the end of Female Genital Mutilation #endFGM are attending the Forum to advocate for empowerment and equality for all women and girls.

A special session on the theme of Eliminating harmful practices: Child and Early Forced Marriage and Female Genital Mutilation will be held on Wednesday 18 May at 11.30am. We hope that the voices of Alimatu Dimonekene, Hawa Sesay, Janet Fyle and many others advocating for the end of all harmful practices will be heard loud and clear.
