No Legal Justification
The Department of Justice appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller special counsel to head the investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government in attempt to influence the November 2016 presidential election. Great. But what’s the crime?
The appointment of a special counsel is supposed to be triggered by evidence of an actual crime—not allegations. This is America, not Russia. Allegations are not evidence. Unsubstantiated rants by the opposition party and the mainstream media elite, both who are still unhinged by the fact that the candidate they crowned to be the next president was not elected by the American people. How dare we peons, the American people, vote independently and not as we’re told by the Clinton and Bush political establishment, and the media elites!
What is the actual crime here? There is none. The President firing former FBI director James Comey is not a crime. The President is allowed to do that. Meeting with Russians is also not a crime. So, what is the legal justification for the appointment of Robert Mueller?
The day before Mueller publicly released his first charges in his 31-page indictment, they were conveniently leaked to CNN and NY Times. That’s a crime. So, Mueller’s office is a leaker and shows they are not operating in good faith.
Mueller released the charges on the same week of the President’s big week of tax reform and appointment of a new Fed Chair. That’s not a coincidence. Mueller did that on purpose to dominate the news cycle and harm the President.
Mueller’s indictments against Paul Manafort and Rick Gates have nothing to do with the “so-called” Trump-Russia collusion. The 12 indictments are for acts as early as 2005 and as late as 2015. That’s before Manafort was Trump’s campaign chairman for six months.
Mueller, you were FBI director then. Why didn’t you indict Manafort then, during the Bush and Obama administrations? If it wasn’t important to you in those 10 years, why is it important now?
Overview of the charges against Manafort. Money laundering, tax evasion, failure to register as foreign agent, and mortgage fraud! Sorry, we don’t need a special counsel to investigate this and bring charges. That’s the normal, daily job of the Justice Department.
Conspiracy Against America? One of the 12 indictments against Manafort and Gates was conspiracy against America. Really, Mueller? Are Manafort and Gates Osama bin Laden? Mueller is now trying his hand at writing dramatic headlines for some spy novel. Prosecutors don’t charge terrorists with “conspiracy against America”! This is not an objective investigation.
Other indictment. Since Mueller didn’t have anything on Manafort and Gates for the time they actually worked for candidate and President Trump, he added at the last minute conviction against George Papadopoulos. Even the media had to ask: Who is this kid? Exactly.
He was a twenty-something junior member and volunteer of Trump’s foreign policy advisory panel. What did he plead guilty for? Lying. He lied about something that’s not illegal. So again, no Trump-Russia collusion.
