WORLD OCEANS DAY is JUNE 8th. What will you do to help our oceans? Share your ideas!
Overall theme for World Oceans Day 2017:
Our Oceans, Our Future
Conservation action focus:
Encouraging solutions to plastic pollution and preventing marine litter for a healthier ocean and a better future
I will walk on the beach and pick up all plastics trash! And for those who don't live by the ocean, recycle, re-use your straws, plastic bags, and reduce your footprint.
One action people can take in our ever so connected world today is to make a change in your own life (ex: pledge to not use plastic bags when shopping), and then demonstrate this change to your social network. When people see others making a change to help conserve the environment, they are more likely to make a change themselves!
The surfing wave pool craze could be the way of the future, but what does this mean for clean seas?
There's so much plastic in our oceans that it has ended up in over half of the fish we eat.
In a big move, a new bill has passed in Hawaii banning the sale of sunscreens that harm coral reefs.
Meet the team building exercise that will have your organization feeling connected to the ocean this Summer!
A sign sea rise is decades too soon, studies say
Plastic pollution isn't just a problem on your local beaches anymore, it's traveling to all corners of the world.
