Finding a New Home After Being Banned by Facebook

Blue Lives Matter's Christopher Berg on how Facebook took down their page and why they joined a publisher coalition.

After Facebook shut down their page without warning, Blue Lives Matter knew it was time to find other ways to reach their avid following.

"I realized how easy it was for a company with the power like Facebook to just remove our website. That's when I decided we needed to be able to work together with other groups as a coalition."

Mr Dear Christopher Berg I've never used Facebook reason was when it first came out in 2006 i did a bit of research and i found that in 2003 Mark Zuckerberg created a media platform to serve the University of Harvard in a better way to touch base and to reach out to the whole University in a smart media platform, i thought that was a really good thing what Mark Zuckerberg created but as my research got more in depth i also found that by 2004 and 2005 Mark Zuckerberg had not only had Harvard University as members but most Universities all the way to Australia , so know its become world wide and that was great to hear . By 2006 Facebook became available to every person world wide who would be over the age of 13 with a valid email address . A Private investor that had shares in Facebook which was called In-Q-Tel is a venture capital firm funded by the CIA. In-Q-Tel was launched in 1999 with former CIA Director George Tenet explaining the vision behind it as being:

We [the CIA] decided to use our limited dollars to leverage technology developed elsewhere. In 1999, we chartered… In-Q-Tel… While we pay the bills, In-Q-Tel is independent of CIA. CIA identifies pressing problems, and In-Q-Tel provides the technology to address them. The In-Q-Tel alliance has put the agency back at the leading edge of technology. That was enough for me to keep away from Facebook .
