An Open Letter to the Porn Industry from a Recovering Porn Addict

"You ought to start looking for an honest job now because here’s the kicker: we’re not gonna let it happen anymore."

One user on Reddit is calling out the pornography industry in the below open letter.

A lot of us ended up with PMO [porn-masturbation orgasm] addictions through porn.

We know we bear a lot of blame for what happened to us, but we also know that you, the porn industry, is leading unsuspecting young people into your snares every minute. Most of them are caught, and they start their long journey toward unhappiness. You help them every step of the way to destroy their own lives, just for a little bit of money.

You provide them with whatever they fancy, and goad and taunt them on, until they’re physical, mental, and emotional wrecks, undoubtedly knowing very well what you are doing the entire time.

Just imagine that.

Can you think of a more disgusting, filthy, dishonest, horrid thing to do to someone? Truly, all of you in the porn industry, producers, videographers, and editors, are little short of criminals.

You ought to start looking for an honest job now, because here’s the kicker: we’re not gonna let it happen anymore.

Our numbers are steadily growing, along with our determination to rid ourselves and the world of your filth.

We may relapse from time to time, but we’re going to keep on trying, no matter what happens. We’re going to win if it kills us, and we’re going to spread the word at large amongst the public about what porn does. We’re going to make damn sure that your industry has no customers left to support it.

The world doesn’t want you anymore, and it doesn’t need you anymore.

If you think you can exercise any power over us, well, we’ll see ya in hell before that happens! Y’all ought to just start looking for honest, decent jobs now, because your days are numbered. The porn industry is going to fall, in our lives, and in the entire world, and it’s going to be the most spectacular, beautiful, glorious, blessed day this world has ever seen.

Stay clean if it kills you guys! You already know that a relapse will kill you: it’ll kill your self-respect, motivation, confidence, energy, and happiness.

It’s worth the struggle! Godspeed!
