Polymer Clay Jewelry Trinket Bowl

This is a really simple Jewelry or trinket dish that takes less than 30 minutes to make.

This is a really simple dish that takes less than 30 minutes to make. It's a perfect craft to make for yourself, do in a group or give as a lovely homemade gift for someone special.

What you need

Oven Baked Clay in a variety of colors (5 total for one dish)

Rolling Pin

Large Circular Jar Lid (I used our protein powder lid)

Oven Safe Bowl (small to medium sized)

Gold Paint


Mod Podge (Glossy)


PREHEAT OVEN TO 275 degrees.

Step 1. Cut 1 inch cubes of 4 different colored clay and a 2 inch cube of the white clay (split in two).

Step 2. Roll your clay iso they are about 6 inches each in length.

Step 3. Carefully twist all your pieces so they connect together evenly.

Step 4. Smooth and lengthen your clay so it's about 12 inches long and twist together. Repeat 2 to 3 times so the colors are mixed well.

Step 5. Smash your clay into a ball.

Step 6. Use your roller to roll out the clay to about 8 to 10 inches wide.

Step 7. Use your jar lid and cut out a large circle.

Step 8. Place clay in oven safe bowl and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Gently turn bowl upside down to remove.

Step 9. Let bowl cool and dry before painting.

Step 10. Paint edges gold with paintbrush. Let dry.

Step 11. Use Mod Podge to seal ring dish. Let dry and you're done!

When you're all finished, you'll end up with a gorgeous marble looking ring dish that anyone will enjoy!
