What you need
2 wooden dowels 3/8 of an inch by 36 inches
Poly binders or folders
Wrap floral tape around the pole where it will be held. The floral tape makes the pole more comfortable to hold and also makes it look more like a fishing pole.
Tie 2.5 to 3 feet of string to one end of the pole. Tie a knot around the pole and then wrap the string around the pole a few times to secure the knot.
Then, thread the opposite end of the string on a needle and use the needle to go under the string that is wrapped around the dowel.
Repeat a few times and make a knot.
Thread the end of the string with the needle through a button a few times. Exit the button on the underside and cut the string.
Apply a generous amount of hot glue to the bottom of the button to secure the string and glue on the magnet. Set aside to dry.
Print the template and cut out the sea creatures.
Use the permanent marker to trace around the animals onto a poly binder. Cut out the animals.
Use a craft knife to make a tiny hole in the top of the creature and insert a paper clip. Repeat for each animal.
Cover a can with paper. I used a smaller formula can and chose a sky blue paper.
Use hot glue to attach the paper to the can. Allow to dry.
Trace the wave pattern onto two different colors of blue paper. Cut out the waves and outline the top edges with glitter.
Glue the waves together, alternating the color of the paper.
Then, use hot glue to glue the waves to the can.
The fishing game can be used inside and outside, in the bathtub and in the pool.
