Wesley So wins Norway Chess Blitz

So, Nakamura, Anand, Carlsen and Mamedyarov earned an extra white game

The 2018 Norway Chess Blitz started today to determine the seeding for the main event. The top 5 finishers will get an extra white chess game. I think this is a very fair way to earn an extra white instead of random drawing of lots.

The 6th edition of Altibox Norway Chess is a 10-player round-robin featuring World Champion Magnus Carlsen, former World Champion Vishy Anand and most of the world's best players. It takes place from 27 May to 7 June in the Clarion Energy Hotel and Stavanger Concert Hall in Stavanger. Players receive 100 minutes for the first 40 moves, then 50 minutes for 20 moves, then 15 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 61. No draw offers are allowed. In case of a tie for first two blitz games are played followed, if necessary, by Armageddon.
