Chess Advice of the Day!

Every defeat is an opportunity to learn from our mistakes! Every victory is a confirmation of our hard work!

The only way one can fully maximize chess potentials is to be able to properly assess strengths/weaknesses, and be willing to work diligently every day to fix those specific problems.

Time management is a big issue for many young talented players. They tend to over calculate everything. To be able to calculate deep variations is good. But one has to learn to understand the positions, and develop strong intuition. When there is a need to calculate, do it. But in some positions, they just have to trust their judgement and instinct.

Therefore, my advice to young players who want to have a strong future in chess is to fix the time management issue ASAP. The longer they wait, the harder it will be to make this adjustment. This issue has slowed down, and sometimes even destroyed careers.
