What We Know About Texas Church Shooter, Devin Kelley

Media starts to piece together profile on Texas shooter Devin Patrick Kelley in wake of church slaughter

Sutherland Springs, Texas - Numerous media outlets have confirmed the identity of the man who opened fire on a rural Texas church and killed at least 26 people Sunday as Devin Patrick Kelley.

26-year-old Kelley from New Braunfels, Texas, had previously been dishonorably discharged from the Air Force.

Authorities have said he parked at a gas station near the First Baptist Church and began shooting outside the church before entering, firing the entire time.

A person outside the church shot at Kelley with a rifle which caused Kelley to drop his rifle and flee. The resident chased after the gunman and Kelley crashed his car and was found dead with a gunshot wound.

It's not clear at this time if the fatal wound came from the citizen hero or was self-inflicted.

CBS News reported that Kelley was formerly in the U.S. Air Force who served from 2010 to 2014. Kelley was dishonorably discharged in a court martial in May 2014, CBS News stated.

The Daily Mail reported that Kelley was married.

Some news sites are claiming to have captured still shots off the shooter’s Facebook page, although it’s not verified that was the actual shooter’s page.

The Daily Beast claims that on Oct. 29, Devin Kelley posted a picture of a SBR and stated, “She’s a bad b****.”

No other media sites had confirmed that Facebook account belonged to the shooter. That Facebook account, which has since been deleted, also contained a quote attributed to Mark Twain that said, “I do not fear death.”

Heavy.com also reported that Kelley taught Bible study classes but that he liked Facebook pages on atheism.

As the media scrambles to get information on mass-killers, there is often inaccurate information released in the immediate aftermath of shootings, so don't be surprised if some information changes. For example, Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter Adam Lanza was originally identified by multiple news outlets as his brother in 2012.

Why won't the media tell the truth about ANYTHING, they really think we are stupid. I am so over it. They shouldn't waste their time with the lies that the libs need to survive.

If that citizen hadn't intervened Kelly would have killed everyone. Thank you whoever you are !
