VIDEO: Philly Rioters Loot, Trash Gas Station Following Super Bowl Win

A crowd of Philadelphia Eagles fans trashed a convenience store after their Super Bowl win on Sunday.

Philadelphia, PA – Law enforcement officers have continued to identify suspects in widespread vandalism and rioting incidents that took place throughout the city following the Philadelphia Eagles’ first Super Bowl win on Sunday (video below).

Philadelphia police released surveillance video from yet another chaotic scene on Tuesday – this time from inside a Sunoco gas station.

Investigators said that a “large group” of people began ransacking the convenience store at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Monday, according to the video.

“While inside, the suspects began taking items from the shelves then began throwing food items and soft drinks on the floor and walls causing a hole in the back wall of the business,” the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) wrote on their blog.

The video showed a multitude of people – many decked out in Eagles garb – as they helped themselves to items throughout the store. Display stands were overturned, and people shuffled in and out with stolen goods.

“People yelling ‘Everything is free,’ looking, trashing this gas station,” Stephanie Farr said in a Twitter post, along with a video of the scene. “Damn it, Philly we better than this.”

The PPD said that more arrests would be forthcoming for various incidents throughout the city, as well as at the Sunoco station.

“These people are not off the hook,” PPD Commissioner Richard Ross told The Inquirer on Monday. “When we find out who they are, we’re going to arrest them.”

Commissioner Ross said even he was hit in the head by a bottle that was thrown in the air as he provided security at the Center City after party, where a crowd of 70,000 to 100,000 fans gathered to celebrate.

“I’m disappointed that some of these idiots … chose to live up to a reputation that is not deserved on the part of 98 percent of our fans,” he said.

Great video quality. They should be able to identify quite a few of those idiots.
