Pittsburgh, PA - Joshua Gurto, 37, is wanted for the brutal rape and murder of a 13-month-old girl. His location was previously unknown, but he was seen Wednesday in the Pittsburgh area.
Gurto was spotted at Sheetz on Mt. Nebo Road in Ohio Township, around 4:30 pm Wednesday, according to CBS Pittsburgh.
The suspect was last seen carrying a camouflage backpack, wearing a black baseball cap, a camouflage jacket, and black pants.
He left the Sheetz, and walked north on Red Mud Hollow Road, which runs parallel to I-79.
Gurto is wanted for the rape and murder of a baby girl stemming from an October 7 incident.
Police in Conneaut, OH, responded to a call for an unresponsive child at an apartment complex.
The officers found the 13-month-old girl suffering from blunt force trauma to her head and body.
She was transported to the hospital were she was pronounced dead.
It was determined that the baby girl had been raped, as well as beaten to death.
About a week after the murder, Gurto was spotted in Girand, PA.
Gurto is described as a white male, 5-foot-10, 150 pounds, brown hair, and hazel eyes.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
