Wow, I think the last time I checked for the weekly beauty was back in the day when wearing Kente patterns and cowry shells was cool (early 90's). I often wondered why MJ never bought Motown, Soul Train or Ebony since I hear that he was an astute business man when it cam to acquiring residual/subscription type investments. I know Jet magazine was used to keep our conscious energies down by attacking Public Enemy so I think that was the beginning of my disinterest in the magazine. It's tough for all news paper and magazines to compete with the digital age. I still have one copy of my favorite magazine which didn't last and sorry to go was "CODE"

Surprising since I have noticed an over representation of European clothing advertisements that disproportionately market clothing that is totally out of economic range for many in the African American community...

Unfortunately,I'm not surprised.I can't believe they didn't even get the "URL" for Jet,and let another company get it.They haven't been very forward thinking since the advent of the internet.NO ONE wants to wait a month to get their news or features from a magazine. They should have migrated to a web based format years ago,and charge advertisers for the "eyeballs" they generate.
