Alfred Morris of the Dallas Cowboys has enough money to buy himself a flashy car like fellow football players. Just last year, the running back sealed a $5.5 million deal with the club, a deal that also included a $1 million bonus and a guaranteed base salary of $1.2 million this season.

Should he lead the league in rushing and run for just 1,500 yards, he'd make another million dollars. Who knows, maybe he'll pull up a surprise and grab all the dollars.

That said, there is also something about him that's leaving many surprised. While his fellow NFL players are driving in flashy rides, Morris is still holding on and riding in a car that's more than two decades old, a 1991 Mazda 626 sedan he purchased for $2, literally.

You may think that was a typo, but it's true he got it for that much. Yes, he bought it during his junior year at Florida Atlantic University from his pastor, who willingly accepted the whopping figure of $2, two dollars if you like. The car, lovingly dubbed Bentley, has been Morris' sweet ride since.

Why would he be keeping it? He says it's a treasured reminder of how he started and grew to the person he is today. "It just keeps me grounded, where I came from and all the hard work for me to get to this point," the Cowboys running back quipped during a 2012 interview when he was still a rookie with the Washington Redskins.

In 2013, it happened that Morris' Bentley got its own version of the famous Pimp My Ride. Mazda got in touch with Morris with an offer to refurbish the ride, and, of course, the running back gave a nod. When Mazda took the car, they installed in it a new engine, completely changed the interiors and installed a new sleek GPS system. Whether Morris initially relied on some tattered maps to get around is a story for another day.

With the money he has, someone may be tempted to believe that the football star could soon be getting rid of the Bentley. Far from it! He's not about to give it up. He's made it clear that Bentley, which is old enough to "rent" a car, will always be his baby.

"I'm going to drive it 'til she dies," he said.

So, before “she” dies, just know that Morris will be having some good money to channel to other things as opposed to changing rides.
