A middleweight scrap between Paulo Borrachinha and Oluwale Bamgbose took place on tonight’s UFC 212 pay-per-view card in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Round one begins and Borrachinha quickly takes the center of the octagon. Bamgbose scores with a right hand. He quickly circles out and then leaps back in with a left hand that misses. Oluwale shoots in and attempts a takedown. He presses Paulo against the cage and begins working some right hands. Paulo breaks free but eats a leg kick as he exits out. Another hard kick comes from Oluwale. Bamgbose shoots in for a takedown attempt but it is not there. Borrachinha circles and then comes forward with a pair of body kicks that lands flush. He presses forward with punches and then lands another hard body kick. Borrachinha with another big body kick followed by some punches. He has Oluwale up against the fence and he is pouring it on. Big punches and now knees from Paulo. Bamgbose fires back with some body shots but Borrachinha stays on him. Oluwale drops down for a takedown but cannot secure the shot. He presses Paulo against the fence and continues to work for a double leg. He gets it. He has Paulo on the ground and pressed against the cage. Paulo is able to get back to his feet before the horn sounds to end round one.
Round two begins and Borrachinha immediately pressures Oluwale who appears to be tired. Paulo with a hard kick to the body. He lands another hard low kick and Oluwale drops. Paulo begins raining down some brutal ground and pound and this one is all over folks. Wow. Borrachinha remains undefeated with the TKO win.
