Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has been out of the public eye since her end-of-year loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207, where she was handed her second straight professional loss following her 2015 KO loss to Holly Holm.
Following Rousey’s recent loss to Nunes, UFC President Dana White admitted that Rousey was likely done fighting, and more likely than not would be moving on to pursue other endeavors outside of MMA.
“IN THE CONVERSATION I HAD WITH HER, IF I HAD TO SAY RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW – AGAIN I DON’T LIKE SAYING RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW BECAUSE IT’S UP TO HER – BUT I WOULD’T SAY SHE FIGHTS AGAIN,” HE SAID. “I THINK SHE’S PROBABLY DONE.”
“SHE’S GOING TO RIDE OFF INTO THE SUNSET AND START LIVING HER LIFE OUTSIDE OF FIGHTING.”
“I’M HAPPY FOR HER. SHE CAME IN AND CHANGED THE WORLD. SHE PUT FEMALE FIGHTING ON THE MAP. SHE’S BEEN PART OF THE BIGGEST FIGHTS IN THE HISTORY OF WOMEN’S FIGHTING, AND I HOPE THOSE RECORDS CAN BE BROKEN. I DON’T KNOW IF THEY CAN, BUT I HOPE THEY DO.”
Now, in a new photo which has surfaced, Rousey can be seen smiling from ear to ear alongside her boyfriend Travis Browne.

Interestingly enough, Rousey recently partnered with a well known nutritionist and strength coach, leading many to speculate as to whether or not the former champ could very well be considering another UFC comeback. The news of Rousey’s new coach came not long after Rousey’s nemesis, Miesha Tate, revealed that the only fight she would consider coming out of retirement for, would be a trilogy fight with Rousey.
With both women’s careers seemingly over, do you think these two WMMA icons will return to the Octagon for one more showdown?
