While Adam Hunter may have weighed-in for his scheduled ‘UFC Vancouver’ fight Saturday night, the popular middleweight found himself pulled from the card for a potential USADA violation. The violation is in regards to an out-of-competition drug test from August 11th.
The UFC released a statement on the situation, which in-part read:
“BECAUSE HUNTER WAS SCHEDULED TO COMPETE AGAINST RYAN JANES THIS COMING SATURDAY, AUGUST 27 IN VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, THERE IS INSUFFICIENT TIME FOR A FULL REVIEW BEFORE THE SCHEDULED BOUT AND THEREFORE THE FIGHT HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE FIGHT CARD. “
The statement also explained that the UFC will be paying Hunter’s opponent, Ryan Janes, his show and win money for the fight.
Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
