Even Gowdy thinks Trump and lawyers should let Mueller do his job

Congressman Gowdy believes there was no collusion, but Trump should still let Mueller finish his important work.

Trump’s Lawyer Calls For An End To the Mueller Investigation, Congressman Gowdy Would Like Him to Shut Up and Let the Man In an interview with Chris Wallace of Fox News, Congressman Trey Gowdy had a few rather tough words for Trump’s lawyer John Dowd who claimed he was speaking for Trump when he said the Mueller investigation should end. (Dowd has since changed his mind and said he wasn’t speaking for Trump, but Trump has openly attacked Mueller in a Tweet-storm, so it is basically a moot point.)

Gowdy doesn’t care if the attorney is speaking for Trump or not, either way, he thinks Dowd, “does him a disservice” by speaking of the Mueller investigation “in that way.” He then went on to address the attorney directly saying, “If you have an innocent client, Mr. Dowd, act like it!”

Although, the Congressman doesn’t think the House has much chance stopping the Trump administration from firing Mueller and impeding the investigation, he hopes that Trump will let him continue because Mueller is doing such important work.
