In a recent interview, Don Jr, tried defending his father against those that call him racist by claiming his father couldn’t be a racist because he takes pictures with rappers and other black celebrities.
He told the interviewer, “I know him. I’ve seen him my whole life. I’ve seen the things he’s done. You know it’s amazing — all the rappers, all his African-American friends, from Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. I have pictures with them. We say ‘hi.’ Have always been friends.” Ah, yes. The classic ‘I’m not racist, I have black friends.” defense. A favorite of racists everywhere.
He went on to blame Democrats for doing a “disservice” against people who are “actually oppressed and hurt by real racism.” He doesn’t elaborate on what his definition of “real racism” is but perhaps he means something like people being called “bad hombres” because they are Mexican or people being banned from travel because they are Muslim.
